茶船呈月牙形，中间宽，两头窄，平底。通身施仿剔红釉，外壁口沿装饰回纹，腹部饰锦纹，近底处饰莲瓣纹。剔红又名「雕红漆」、「红雕漆」。明曹昭《格古要论·古漆器论·剔红》：「剔红器皿，无新旧，但看朱厚色鲜红润坚重者为好，剔剑环香草者为佳。」剔红釉为仿剔红而创制的一种釉，釉色鲜红，皇家之气尽显，成对保存，尤为难得。
