Good Shepherd" small sculpture carved in ivory, Indo-Portuguese School SS XVII-XVIII. It represents the Child Jesus as a shepherd, sitting on the top of a tower, with his eyes closed and his legs crossed, a lamb on one shoulder and another between his arms. The tower is decorated with plant motifs, other lambs and a sleeping child, in a clear syncretism between Christianity and Buddhism. Height: 18 cms.
