Calvary in gilt bronze, Spain. pp. S. XVII. Flanking the cross, the Virgin and Saint John in a round bundle. Under the calvary there is a circular receptacle openwork like a box whose lid is hinged and that could be a reliquary. At the foot of the cross, a pair of tibias indicate that the skull of Adam would be on them, which usually accompanies representations of the crucifixion. Both the cross and the structure of the piece are engraved with fleshy vein motifs and a polished finish. Height: 26.5 cms.
