Decorated on one side with a large figurative panel depicting scholars and ladies standing in groups around a mansion courtyard, against a ground of butterflies and blossoms borne on scrolling foliage, a further two panels on the neck, one of birds and flowers, the other of a group of figures in a studio, the two divided by a raised iron-red band decorated in gilt with a diaper pattern the band extending round the neck and tied into a large bow on the other side, trailing ribbons which extend down onto the large panel on the reverse side where two large boys are moulded and painted pulling at the cords with one hand and holding hands with the other, 60cm H.
