With a central opening, embroidered with colourful blossoms and butterflies on a dark navy blue ground, with borders of embroidered blue and blossoms, with pale blue cuffs, 127.8cm, 111cm. Provenance: from the collection of Donald Beith (1878 – 1948), acquired in China in the early 1900s for his wife Florence Beith (1877 – 1966), thence by descent to the present owners via Janet Beith, the novelist and author of No Second Spring (1933) and Sand Castle (1936) who is reported to have worn the robe on weddings and special occasions between the 1970s and 1990s. 約1900年代 藍地刺繡服 來源: 來自唐納比斯收藏，1900年代其夫人弗洛倫斯比斯得於中國。後由作家簡奈特比斯繼承，在70年代到90年代間用於出席重要場合穿著。
