A SMALL GROUP OF CHINESE PORCELAIN.A SMALL GROUP OF CHINESE PORCELAIN. Qing Dynasty, and later. Including a small famille rose 'scholars' washer by Tu Zhuzhuang, a Chinese Imari 'dragon' saucer, and a group of blue and white pieces: a bell-shaped teapot, three dishes and a tea cup, 22.5cm diameter. (7) Provenance: from the collection of David Scrase (1949 – 2020). Renowned scholar and curator, David Scrase was Honorary Keeper of Italian Drawings, Honorary Marlay Group member, former Assistant Keeper, then Keeper, of Paintings, Drawings and Prints and Assistant Director (Collections) of the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge. An internationally acclaimed authority on Italian art, particularly drawings, Scrase published extensively and on a variety of subjects.
