signed YIBINGSHOU, inscribed, and with two seals of the artist ink on paper Born 1754,in Ninghua.Yi Bingshou passed the civil service examination to become a jinshi (accepted scholar) in 1789. He then served in various posts, ending his career as a magistrate at Yangzhou.He was a famous writer and calligrapher as well as a painter of landscapes, flowers and plum blossom.
