出版Michael C. Teller IV，《Chinese Antiques: Bronze Gold Silver Earthenware Ceramic》，纽约，1980年，页68 说明 来源美国私人收藏炉呈高圈足杯状，束腰，深腹，柄头镶有瑞兽，是典型的手炉设计，柄为如意云头曲折状，造型端庄雅致。柄头常雕饰莲花或瑞兽，熏烧香粉或香丸。唐代即已流行。此形佛教法器有见于法门寺地宫，日本白鹤美术馆以及英国大英博物馆分别有藏两个唐代长柄铜香炉，柄头同样镶有狮子像，东京国立博物馆亦有两个分别于飞鸟时期及奈良时期制造的长柄手炉，可资参考。LOT 3143-3184为同一藏家收藏
