Three Ethiopian hardwood stools, first half 20th century, comprising two white-painted examples with dished seats raised on three scroll legs and green painted example together with a small low stool with four legs, the tallest - 36cm high (4)The tallest - losses to the white painted surface and natural shrinkage cracks to the dished seat. One foot is replaced. Structurally stable. The second white-painted stool with wear to the painted surface, mostly the seat. The green example with heavily worn painted decoration. The seat with two small natural holes from knots in the wood. The smaller, low stool with a small natural loss towards the middle of the seat and two shrinkage splits to the edge. General wear overall consistent with age and use.
