A FINE QUM CARPET, CENTRAL PERSIAThe light blue field with delicate floral and leafy vine around indigo and sandy-yelloow double floral medallion with pendants. Sandy-yellow floral spandrels. In an indigo border of polychrome rosettes and angular leafy vine between floral, arabesque and plain stripes, approx: 260cm. x 152cm. Very nicely drawn design and very good and well balanced colours. This carpet has full pile of soft wool quality. Both selvages original. Ends with original fringes, tiny fraying in one corner. Fine weave, approx: 7 x 5 knots per sq.cm. In general this carpet is in very good usable conditon. Very good furnishing piece.
