A Chinese gilt bronze triad figure of Buddha Shakyamuni flanked by Manjushri and Avalokitesvara, both would most likely have held a lotus flower stem, the Buddha is seated in dhyanasana on a lotus and lion throne backed by a mandorla, the hands in a meditative posture, he is dressed in a robe with engraved flowers, pierced throne with tendrils and lions on each corner, mandorla cast with rays and flowers, the back engraved with clouds. Figure with sealed bottom. 18th century. Buddha figure cast with lotus throne, separate bodhisattva figures, lion throne and mandorla. Total weight c. 17.768 kg. H. c. 43.5 cm.
