Framed.The model for this reverse glass painting was an etching by the French graphic artist Louis Desplaces (1682 - 1739), which reproduces a mirror-inverted large-scale deposition from the cross by Jean Jouvenet (1644 - 1717) painted in oil on canvas. This painting was created in 1697 for the main altar of the Capuchin church in Paris, not far from the Place Louis-Le-Grand, today's Place Vendôme, and has been kept in the Musée du Louvre since 1793 with the inventory no. INV 5493. Gerahmt.Als Vorlage für diese Hinterglasmalerei diente eine Radierung des französischen Grafikers Louis Desplaces (1682 - 1739), die spiegelverkehrt eine in Öl auf Leinwand gemalte, großformatige Kreuzabnahme von Jean Jouvenet (1644 - 1717) wiedergibt. Dieses Gemälde entstand 1697 für den Hauptaltar der Pariser Kapuzinerkirche unweit der Place Louis-Le-Grand, der heutigen Place Vendôme, und wird seit 1793 mit der Inventarnr.
