Ø56.5mm, ca. 165g, silver, pair case, exceptionally well preserved pierced outer case, richly decorated, fantastic quality, inner case also pierced, tendrils, mythical creatures and animals, as well as a grotesque face, bell, very early English movement, vase pillars, verge escapement, repeater, signed and numbered plate, signed original silver dust cover, signed silver champlevé dial, glass not original, hour hand probably original, minute hand replaced, movement starts ticking but needs cleaning, striking mechanism needs overhauling (currently not striking completely). Although the watch needs a technical overhaul, visually it is in extremely rare condition for an early pocket watch, ca. 1700. Jacob Massy was listed in London from 1689 to ca 1725.
