Ø53mm, ca. 92g, 18K gold, back with enamelled floral decoration, set with red stones and miniature pearls, very fine quality enamel painting, signed verge movement, No.280, signed enamel dial (small peripheral craquelling), probably original gold hands, intact, rare piece. Provenance: 'The Van Cauwenbergh Collection', auctioned in Hong Kong in 1989. Charles Le Roy founded the oldest watch manufactory in France in Paris in 1764. Le Roy was a welcome guest at the Louvre and highly appreciated by the royal couple and the entire court.
