Militaria: Flying Officer Claude McLaren Reid , Royal Air Force , WWII / World War II / Second World War: a silver cigarette case, hallmarked Birmingham 1917 maker John Collard Vickery, inscribed with the owner's military and diplomatic postings (beginning with the Royal Navy in January 1916 during WWI at RNC Osborne, his capture at Java in March 1942, and retirement as Assistant Comptroller, Malayan Customs & Excise in 1953.) Reid family crest inscribed to the reverse. 4" long.
