A TIBETAN GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF KUBERA WITH BUDDHIST LION Tibet, first half of the 20^th century. The gilt bronze figure with fine chase work and inlays, depicting Kubera, the guardian protector of wealth and the North, seated in lalitasana on top of a Buddhist lion’s back, dressing in an elaborated robe, adorned with jewels and twisting snakes with a princely diadem on top of his head, holding a mongoose in his left hand and a gem in his other, surmounted on a single lotus plinth. The base sealed off with a copper plate showing an incised double vajra.

Condition: Good condition with surface wear and light scratches.
