A ROCK CRYSTAL VASE WITH A ‘BUDDHIST LION’ FINIAL China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The finely curved body with a pair of Buddhist lion head and ring handles, depicting growing leaves, the cover with an oval aperture in the center and surmounted by a finely carved side-facing Buddhist lion. A Pekingese dog standing next to the base and the rock crystal with good clarity.

Condition: Hairlines, cracks, and chips, especially to the Pekingese’s feet.
Provenance: Hungarian private collection. According to the current owner acquired from a private collector in France.
