A PAIR OF ‘OPIUM SMOKER’ PORCELAIN FIGURES
China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912- 1949). Both depicted leaning on one elbow and holding an opium pipe, painted in underglaze blue and with polychrome enamels over the glaze.
Condition: Overall good condition with few glaze flakes as well as chipping to the pipe bowls.
Provenance: German private collection.
