A CHINESE ART DECÓ ARMCHAIR WITH MATCHING FOOT STOOL China, c. 1920. With fully upholstered back, sides and seat, the silk embroidered overall with a repeated pattern of Shou symbols and floral designs, raised on a lacquered wood structure, the sides, and front panels carved with reserves enclosing figures in outdoor landscapes, surrounded by floral sprays and all within a border of stylized scroll and geometric designs. Together with an upholstered foot stool with matching decoration.

Condition: Good condition with some wear and few tears to the silk.
