A WOOD FIGURE OF A LAUGHING BUDDHA
China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). An unusual depiction of the Laughing Buddha, carved seated and leaning on a tiger and wearing a head band and a long flowing robe with incised flowers, the robe opening at the chest to reveal his outsized belly.
Condition: Good condition with minor wear and natural age cracks, the attributes he used to hold in both hands missing.
