AN CIVIL OFFICIAL EMBROIDERED SILK ‘CRANE’ RANK BADGE, BUZI, LATE QING
China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912). Embroidered in satin stitch, the crane facing the sun surrounded by lingzhi-shaped clouds and five flying bats (wufu) as well as flowers and craggy rockwork, all above crashing waves. With a silk brocade frame.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear and little soiling.
