A SCROLL PAINTING OF CROWS, AFTER REN BONIAN
China, 20th century. After Ren Bonian (1840–1896), also known as Ren Yi. Ink and watercolors on silk, mounted as a hanging scroll with wood handles. Depicting a couple of crows perched on a branch, with calligraphy ‘Bingxu year 1886, of Guangxu period, Inscribed ‘Shanyin Ren Bonian’ and seal ‘Ren Bonian’ to the left side. The backside with a label reading ‘Qing Ren Bonian’.
Condition: Good condition with creases and small stains to the mounting.
Provenance: German private collection.
