TWO WOODBLOCK PRINTS
Japan, Edo period (1615-1868)
The first colored woodblock print, depicting from the Great Fishes Series a carp swimming upstream. With inscription/signature and seals on the print HIROSHIGE HITSU. The second woodblock print, portraying a scene of Urashima Taro sitting on top of a turtle, being welcomed to the kingdom of seas. With inscription/signature in the lower-left corner KASHOSAI SHUNSEN GA. Both woodblock prints are framed behind glass.

Condition: Overall the prints present well. The first print with fresh colors, some losses to the color, tears, soiling, and creasing. The second print with creasing soiling and faded colors.
