A BASTAR BRONZE OF UNIQUE ELEPHANT WITH GODDESS India, 19th-20th century. This beautifully decorated elephant is a true masterpiece, starting from the bottom of its legs with fancy ankle bracelets to a fully decorated head with pointy ears pointing outwards, to a howdah that has an exceptional roof shaped like pyramid with curved and linear patterns. The goddess is sitting on down on the howdah with a sceptre in his left hand.

Condition: The elephant’s trunk has broken off but the rest is in very good condition.
Provenance: Collection of an Indian gentleman.
