布面矿彩莲花生大士是宁玛派祖师，出生于乌仗那地区，公元8世纪入藏弘法。唐卡中，莲花生头戴红色莲花冠，身披红色金线袈裟，左手托宝瓶及降魔杖，右手持金刚杵，趺跏盘于莲花之上。虚空中围绕释迦牟尼佛，赤松德赞，寂护大师，麦彭仁波切。画面背景绘有雪山、草地、湖泊，整幅唐卡布局规整严谨，笔法精致细腻，传世也十分稀少，是一幅具艺术收藏价值的作品。
