款识：|1.崇桢十二年（1639）秋日，普荷敬画。|2.无心御勅，能自能他，骑虎出入，是佛是魔，寒山拍掌，拾得呵呵，漫谓普贤文殊老，元来饶舌是弥陀。黄檗隐元题。|钤印：普荷、担当、临济正宗、隐元之印、隆琦 |释普荷，本姓唐，名泰，字大来，云南晋宁人。熹宗天启，中以明经入对大廷。明亡削发为僧，隐鸡足山，法名通荷，后更名普荷，号担当。尝师事董其昌，并访陈继儒，侍砚席，称门下士。
