Imperial Qing Dynasty Qianlong Period Polychrome Multi-Panel Study Vase Produced at Jingdezhen Kiln Under Tang Ying W/Qianlong Archaic Seal Mark (From a Vietnamese Royal Family) - This magnificent vase was fired at the Jingdezhen Kiln under the supervision of famo superintendent Tang Yin, according to our seller. Yin oversaw the kiln for over two decades, and under his supervision porcelain made in Jingdezhen reached an unprecedented level both in the 'styles of the ancients' and in innovation and techniques, which had far reaching influence on porcelain making both in China and abroad. This floor vase was truly the tour de force of ceramic techniques of the period. The vase is elaborately decorated, and each ringed band along neck and shoulders features a different enamel technique, including: blue and white, monochrome, crackle-glaze and molded celadon. The body is decorated with twelve ribbed panels in Famille Rose landscapes, with alternating vario floral ground, all reserved on cobalt and gilt gold background. The vase has a pair of gilt openwork flange handles, and a bottom that bears the Qianlong red seal mark, and a poem in calligraphy circling the perimeter of the round bottom. This truly a spectacular, meum quality investment piece. This piecees from the estate of a Vietnamese Royal Family (the family now lives in the United States, and wishes to remain private as they still have relatives living in Vietnam). Measurements: 35"H x 19"W.
