提要：顾型，字绍衣，江苏无锡人。无线电报创制者。光绪乙未秀才，时仅十九岁。后至沪专功理化学，曾留学英国。1905年返锡后于理化研究会主讲化学博物课。民国初，编著理化教科书，为全国各省普遍采用。1914年，在上海中华书局顶楼、龙门师范顶楼、无锡图书馆顶楼自制仪器，设立无线电报通讯，为我国无线电报首创者之一。1915年为县图书馆自制无线电收音机。所著论文多在《东方杂志》发表。后任上海交通银行秘书多年，“一二八”事变后退居回乡，以诗词为乐，与廉南湖等时相过从，酬唱无虚日。
