Large bronze on an alabaster base, France, around 1900, 'Perse with the head of Meda'after Benvenuto Cellini, sword missing; the Renaissance artist working in Florence created this bronze after a statue for the Loggia dei Lanzi on behalf of Duke Cosimo de Medici, (original in the Meo Nazionale del Bargello Florence), here on an alabaster base with fourround arches, in two each a small bronze, basedamaged, H. approx. 64 cm, total height approx. 97.5 cm .
