As it continued to accelerate he moved to the United States. In the 1950s through 2000, he worked on canvases and hand-made papers. During the German occupation Noel was enngaged in the underground and was a draftsman-designer for aerospacepany. No?l was unable return to Paris until Christmas 1956. Once in Paris, Noel devoted himself entirely to painting. In 1969, Noel was a professor at the Minneapolis School of Art. He then moved to New York from 1969-1983. In 1983, Noel returned to Paris.The artwork of Georges Noel has been exhibited internationally and is included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Bibliotheque Nationale and F.N.A.C. in Paris, and the National galerie in Berlin.Size: 28.5 x 23.5 in.
