Housed in a display box, the hair clippinges from the actress's hairdresser Kenneth Battelle and is dated June 14, 1959. The paper box features two glass framed pieces: one which contains a lock of hair and, next to it, there's an image of the iconic actress in the middle of her signature laugh.Kenneth Battelle, famous as 'Mister Kenneth.' Batelle was known as the world's first celebrity hairdresser, and in addition to Marilyn Monroe, he counted Audrey Hepburn and Jacqueline Kennedy as his clients. He worked mostly in New York City, from the 1950s until his death in 2013. Small photo on top of the box features Kenneth Battelle and Monroe. The boxes with the hair and small photos do show their age of their fifty years.Preserved in a 1 x 1.5 in. glass case.- This item does note with any additional documentation and is being sold as-is.
