(482) Crackle China VaseDimensions: Width: 13cm, Height: 22cmChinese Song Dynasty Guan ware Porcelain Vase . The porcelain potted in vase shape, thick and tall, octagonal globular lower body, straight octagonal neck, flaring mouth rim, raised on a short ring foot base with slight concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in greyish underglazed base color which contrast against the Guan glaze. Distinctive GE crackled glaze also known as jinsi tiexian which translates to mean gold floss and iron thread which details the look of several lines that appear in the crackled surface. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
