Dimensions: Width: 19.5cm, Height: 15cmChinese Qing Dynasty Kangxi Blue and White Porcelain Brush Pot. Potted in thick, round and straight body, close mouth lip, raised with round flat foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of Chinese calligraphy lettering inscriptions poems, followed with artist's signature and iron-red seals on the upper left side. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.The Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Kangxi Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
