This porcelain has a globular half moon body, small, round short neck with flaring open lip, raised on wide round flat base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of scrolling interlocking ruyi and auspicious pattern. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.The underside rim is unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
