A fine Renaissance tortoiseshell and silver-mounted travel cabinet, 17thC, H 43 - W 42 - D 27 cmThe front doors enclose another central door, decorated with a hand-painted panel depicting 'Susanna and the Elders', flanked by two columns. The silver mounts are all over decorated with floral motifs.Possibly of (Indo-)Portuguese origin.The silver mounts with no visible hallmarks but tested on silver purity.
