The fine large plates show spectacular views of the cities of Edo (Tokyo), Osaka, Kyoto and the Dutch trading settlement Deshima, based on journals from the Dutch East Indiapany Embassy of 1649. The original re-worked 'Iedo' plate later published in 1725 by P. van der Aa, Leiden, in 'La Galerie Agreable du Monde (.). Tome premier des Indes Orientales'.
