小幾為長條形，以紅雕漆工藝製成。幾面刻卐字回紋錦地，面下束腰，四曲腿，幾側及腿部刻卷枝花卉紋，雕工精美，紋飾繁縟見長，是清式家具的傑出代表。 乾隆皇帝非常喜愛雕漆製品，特別是剔紅漆器，多次題詩加以讚美。他的大力提倡，促使宮廷內外剔紅等雕漆製品的生產空前繁榮。當時的雕漆製品品種豐富，幾乎涉及到生活的各個方面，小到生活用品、文房器具，大到桌椅茶幾乃至屏風寶座等，無所不有，開創了雕漆工藝史上的又一黃金時期
