青白玉，质地温润。炉为圆形，鼓腹，朝冠耳，三园蹄形足，盖纽为镂空盘龙纹。腹部上方饰出戟，下方饰环带纹。 清代宫廷仿古风气主要承袭两宋时期，基本上是受礼学"格物致知"思想的影响。因此，在做工和玉料的选材上相当讲究，局部雕工看上去虽不甚精湛，但这正是模仿青铜纹饰的铸造效果，更显示出技法的高超。 此件鼎式炉，无论在造型和纹饰上都颇具商周青铜器物的韵味，称得上是清代仿古玉器的精品。
