A PRIVATE COLLECTION OF NAPOLEONIC LETTERS (LOTS 262-278) NAPOLEON I: (1769-1821) Emperor of France 1804-14, 1815, autograph letter, one page, addressed to his Step-son Prince Eugène de Beauharnais, 1781-1824, Viceroy of Italy, "Au palais de Milan," 23 October 1807, Napoleon gives orders to prepare for a review of dragoons: 'My son, I am giving the order to the Grand Duke de Berg to go to Lodi to review the dragoon squadrons there.
