Ca. Ø57mm, ca. 146g, silver case, bell, extremely rare calibre with early lateral lever escapement, signed, No.663, enamel dial with 2 windings for movement and alarm, special and solid pink gold Breguet hands, very well preserved, in working order. All of the few known watches which have been made by Père Bouhelier are equipped with the same linear lever escapement. Père Bouhelier was originally a priest, who had to leave his homeland during the French revolution and settled in England. It is believed that his time in England was the starting point for his development as a watchmaker and ultimately for the use of this special escapement, which can be found in all of his watches.
