The entire watch is of very high quality and one can recognise the Breguet background. Augustin Merceron was a French watchmaker, active in Angoulême between 1830 and 1840. He signed his watches Chronométrier Eleve De Breguet (chronometer maker, student of Breguet). From 1824 hepleted his apprentice at Breguet and then became an employee of Breguet until ca. 1830. There he mainly made escapements.
