Ca. Ø53.5mm, ca. 123g, 18K gold, engine turned, coined band, case and dome numbered 2235, dome signed Chronometre de Jules Jürgensen, very early pivoted detent chronometer movement, golden helical hairspring, very well preserved enamel dial, large seconds indication, blued steel hands, in very good condition, in working order. In Knudsen 'The Jürgensen Dynasty' the earliest Jürgensen watch is the 3943 from 1843. A very similar watch, No.4459, is shown on page 237. This watch also has an unsigned dial with unusually large seconds. Knudsen writes that this is not unusual for early Jürgensen watches!
