Front with two drawers, the upper drawer sans-traverse. Later green lacquer in the "Goût Chinois", the front and the sides decorated with medallions. Fine gilt bronze mounts designed as rocailles and blossom branches as well as sabots, punched with "C couronné". Beige / red speckled and marble with shaped edge. 1 key.155 × 63 × 97 cm.The four bronze handles later. Cracks and losses in the lacquer. Marble in part with scratched, later patina. An attractive chest of drawers from the period around 1750, which stands out by its striking design and the finely crafted and gilt bronze mounts. The bronze mounts bear the tax mark "C couronné", which was in use in the period between 1745-49. The construction and quality of the bronze mounts suggest an item of furniture of high quality and a possible craftsman by Jacques Dubois. The monogram D.F. refers to an ebeniste active around 1740 to 1750, identified by Alexandre Pradère as François Delorme-Faizelot. A lacquer chest of drawers, decorated with a Japanese lacquer panel, has survived from this ebeniste and is in the Calouste Goulbenkian Museum in Lisbon. The in part similar bronze mounts of said piece of furniture also bear the "C couronné" mark. (Cf. Alexandre Pradère. Die Kunst des französischen Möbels. Munich 1990, pp. 169-177). The lacquer work in the Chinese style on a green background on themode on offer was applied later, probably in the 20th century. It is based on the work of Dubois. The striking golden diamond motifs can also be found on a pair of half-height cabinets signed by Jacques Dubois, which were auctioned at Christie's in Paris in June 2008 (Auction 5519, Lot No. 232).---------------GRÜNE LACKKOMMODELouis XV, Paris um 1750.
