The case probably by Robert and Jean-Paptiste Osmond Paris.Finely chiseled and punched , matte and polished gilt bronze. White enamel dial in a laurel-wreath frame. The date is indicated by a horizontal, turning enamel ring. Parisian movement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. 1 key.16 × 16 × 36 cm.The same model of the clock on offer, but without the date function, and with the case signed Osmond from the collection Pascal Izarn is depicted in Pierre Kjellberg, Encyclopédie de la pendule française du Moyen Age au XXe siècle, Paris 1997, p.185. Another one, with the movement by Gudin à Paris, from the collection of the Stockholm Palace is depicted in Ottomeyer/Pröschel, Vergoldete Bronzen, Munich 1986, Vol. 1, p. 194. The design corresponds essentially to Illustration No. 53 of the "Livre de dessins" and is designated to be by Osmond. However, that model is crowned by a pair of doves, instead of the vase in the model on offer, just like a clock from the Sauvage Collection, depicted in Tardy, La pendule française, 2me Partie, Du Louis XVI à nos jours, Paris 1969, p. 258.Gilding somewhat rubbed. Das Gehäuse wohl von Robert und Jean-Paptiste Osmond Paris.Bronze fein ziseliert und punziert sowie matt- und glanzvergoldet. In Form eines kannelierten Säulenstumpfs, an der Basis von einem Lorbeerkranz umgeben auf Recktecksockel. Das weisse zifferblatt eingefasst in einen Lorbeerkranz, gebunden durch ein Band mit Masche. Aufsatz in Form einer Henkelvase mit reliefiertem Blattdekor und Lorbeergirlande, auf einem sich drehenden horizontalen ring wird das Datum angegeben. Pariser Werk mit Halbstundenschlag auf Glocke. 1 Schlüssel.16 × 16 × 36 cm.Das gleiche Modell dieser Uhr, jedoch ohne Datumsfunktion, das Gehäuse signiert Osmond aus der Sammlung Pascal Izarn abgebildet bei Pierre Kjellberg, Encyclopédie de la pendule française du Mosyen Age au XXe siècle, Paris 1997, S.185. Eine weitere, das Werk von Gudin à Paris aus der Sammlung des Stockholmer Schlosses ist abgebildet bei Ottomeyer/Pröschel, Vergoldete Bronzen, München 1986, Bd. 1, S. 194. Der Entwurf entspricht im Wesentlichen der Zeichnung Nr. 53 des "Livre de desseins" und mit Osmond bezeichnet ist. Allerdings wird jenes Modell von einem Taubenpaar bekrönt, anstelle der Vase, wie auch eine solche Uhr aus der Sammlung Sauvage, abgebildet bei Tardy, La pendule Française, 2me Partie, Du Louis XVI à nos jours, Paris 1969, S. 258.Vergoldung etwas berieben.
