The porcelain potted in moon vase, thick and tall, flat globular on lower belly, emerging ruyi flanked on the neck, raised on rectangle foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white and blue fine color, depicted of many Qilin mythical beast chasing pearl through vapors above thrashing Lishui wavy waves. Qilin are thought to be a symbol of luck, good omens, protection, prosperity, success, and longevity by the Chinese. Qilin are also a symbol of fertility, and often depicted in decorations as bringing a baby to a family. Whatever their special attraction, they always move gracefully and dazzle the mortals who see them. The Under bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign marks. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
