拍品折沿直壁，下承四足，形制端庄。内外匀施茄皮紫釉，釉面肥厚光亮，色泽深浓腴润，一如成熟茄皮之色。清康熙时期的茄皮紫，釉色可分浅、深、老三色。浅者鲜艳，主要配合彩器使用，深者釉面发亮，多用于单色釉器。本拍品釉色均匀深亮，应属后者中釉色上乘者。
