剑璏取上乘白玉为材，玉质细腻洁白，沁色自然，包浆润泽。器呈长条形，两端下卷，正面以兽面纹为饰，线条婉转有力，雕工娴熟，背面光素无纹，打磨细腻。《说文解字》：“璏，剑鼻玉饰也。”玉剑璏是古代玉剑具之一，穿系于腰带上，可将剑固定于腰间。宋代以后所制剑璏多为文房用器。此剑璏形制规整，用料精良，纹饰古雅，应为同类器中上品。
