A magnificent Chavin-Cupisnique stone vessel from Peru, ca. 800 - 200 BC. It is 4 in. high, 4-1/8 in. in diameter and is carved from highly polished, colorful stone. It features a depiction of the Fanged Deity, as well as a depiction of the Jaguar God. They are surrounded by dense foliage concealing birds and serpents. Intact, with good mineral deposits. CV87
