A fine Jalisco figure from West Mexico, ca. 1 - 250 AD. This lovely Cuisillos example is 5 in. high and depicts a pregnant female, with hands grasping the heavy belly and the hollow belly button acting as the firing hole. The figure is intact, appears to have been in a fire in antiquity and has good mineral deposits and extensive calcified roots overall. JA345
