(Japanese, 1921-2014) Two woodblock prints: Kazumi, edition 10/100, dated "1996", artist's signature and seal lower right, 14 x 9 in.; Haru no Shimo (Spring Frost), edition 24/200, dated "1988", artist's signature and seal lower right, 17-7/8 x 11-7/8 in.; modern wood frames, 19 x 14 in. and 21-1/4 x 15-1/2 in. Note: Iwao Akiyama studied at the Taiheiyo Art School and under notable printmakers Shiko Munakata and Un'ichi Hiratsuka. He is most well known for his striking prints of birds, cats, and other animals.
